Travel Fatigue

I'm starting to feel fatigued. We're sticking around the hotel with short trips during the day. We're dining in the hotel, simply because I've eaten so many unexpected things that I crave western style cuisine when I can get it.

  1. I sometimes get like that - and only in Europe.:) No matter how exciting it all is there comes a point when all you want to do is sit and take things easy for a while. I do anyway, then you feel better and want to restart with the stuff that brought you there in the first place.

  2. In the early '50s I took a six-week Grand Tour of the European capitals, ending with a week in Paris. The group went over on the Queen Mary, and was to return the same way. I got bored and opted for return by air, on a DC-8. I had lunch in Paris and dinner at a fuel stop at Shannon in Ireland. I had roast beef, peas and mashed potatoes - distinguishable by form and color, but not by taste. Ugh. Nice to find a western oasis. No McDonald's? I thought they were everywhere.

    1. No. Most people in that part of that part of the world do not eat beef. I saw a Pizza Hut and a KFC. I don't eat that poison anyway.
