Boys of Abu ghraib

We watched BOYS OF ABU GHRAIB last night.

It was about a young soldier who volunteered for a shift as a prison guard to escape the boredom of his post in the motor pool. It depicted how he was a truly good person who had been damaged by attempts on his life, death of his friends and the horrors and atrocities of war.  It was a story about how he lost part of his humanity and became abusive. It was based on real life fact of Abu Ghraib guards tormenting and humiliating prisoners during the Bush presidency.

I became saddened by the way the media attacked the prison guards without compassion and by the way the government caused the perversion of otherwise good people. I became saddened by the constant warfare and tribal disputes that are historically endless.

Boys of Abu Ghraib is definitely worth watching.

Speaking of feel down. I went to bed before Master. I usually sleep on the left side of the bed facing the center of the bed. Master sleeps facing me.  I apparently unconsciously turned away from him when he came to bed. I was awakened when he said "This isn't happening". He grabbed me by my balls and turned me toward him, suffocating me in his arm pit. He pulled the blanket up over us and wrapped his right arm around me and then kissed me "Goodnight Boy". I was mostly asleep.

  1. At the Chateaux, you were handled by Christian, whom you knew as part of your family. On the flight home, there was Christopher, apparently part of Ian's tribe. Any relation? Your appearance was celebrated by the dogs: any evidence that they knew when you began the last leg of your journey home? How many times have you been to the Chateaux?

years ago at Stanford University a experiment was undertaken with psychology student volunteers. a 'prison' was set up in a basement.Volunteers were 'arrested' by campus cops and taken there. They were divided into prisoners ad guards. Very quickly \ the guards turned nasty and the prisoners bred conspiracies. Even faculty members got involved. The dynamics spun out of control and the experiment was halted. Books have been written about this. The volunteers were all students at on of the most prestigious universities in the US.

Media accounts driven by Bush-bashing are not useful in understanding human affairs. Your narrative of your life as a slave is a useful window into a complex world tat i value. Bind's narrative is quite different. His website has an email link which makes comments ad conversation much easier. If my questions re too intrusive, excuse, please.

    1. Mike,
That was the time period. Bush was president although I think that he did not know what was going on.

Yes, I have been in the Chateau on six occasions. Christian is part of our family. He is employed by us and he was referred to us by the Chateau. Yes, he is a friend. The relationship to Master is that Master has given him the "keys". We also have a man named Butch that I hired when I first inherited the ranch. I gave him the keys before Ian came to live with us and became Master. Butch also owns a set of "Keys".

There are now six of us in the family plus Ian's friends in London. They are in themselves a family of Mates that have been so since their teen years. Some are gay, some are not. I was inducted into the crew on my visit to The Clubhouse". I am only the second new member in their history.

Christian was just one of the handlers at the Chateau.

We are told that the animals new were on our way home. The dogs were especially excitable.

There was an experiment like the one you speak of in Germany. The original movie about the experiment was in German. More sensational movie versions of the experiment were released in the US after that

  2. Amazing. Your reply to my questions affirms my appreciation of your credo. That you inherited the ranch and then built s unique family is past remarkable. My assumptions are scrambled; I had assumed Ian was the owner of the ranch. Decades ago I had a mechanical engineer frielnd who deigned a small industrial robot; his partner had access to old money. They realized a need for a president for their company, so they hired a CEO. The money was chairman of the board, my friend chief engineer reporting to the CEO they hired. We parted ways log ago. So Ian arrived late but became Master and husband but you seem to be the real head of the pack, according to the rest of the animals. The Iraqi prison affair and the Stanford experiment are illustrations of how easily the 'pack mind' can arise - yet men are basically good al with other animals can exhibit altruism and mutual help. studies of groups of Bonobo, close relatives of humans, show the existence of ethics and mutual support.

  3. I wrote about meeting Master in a yet to be published story. I met him and he imprisoned me for a month. He suddenly went back to London causing my early release. He sold his New York town house and disappeared without leaving a single word.

I inherited the property shortly before meeting Master and decided after he left that I would move west and explore the idea of living in the house. (We had no real relationship other that playing Master and Object the one time.

I was living alone with Butch living in the caretaker's cottage. Butch and I were working outside together when Ian called my cell phone and said he was on his way to take me for dinner. He didn't know that I was in California. He flew out the next day and we went to The French Laundry. He stayed for "a while". He collared me without consulting me first and the rest is history.

I come from a small Scandinavian family. I am the last living soul in the bloodline. I had all the family stuff but no one that I trusted to share it. Answering Master's ad on RECON turned into something I never expected to find.

Yes, I own all the stuff but none of it is worth anything without the people that I share my life with. The real head of the household is a debatable issue because other than me seeing the entire vision, the family is almost independent in the day to day life that we live together.

BTW: I like the term "Tribe" that you used.
